What are our qualifications?
The owner of the company, DeWayne Nall, has been in the Marine HVACR industry for over 50 years. With experience in the service and installation of marine air conditioning and refrigeration, manufacturing of marine units of all types and electrical control systems, he is well equipped to provide the best equipment possible for your yacht. Mr. Nall was personally responsible for several of the most important innovations in the marine industry such as the introduction of VFD's to chiller unit compressor control and the implementation of PLC's for the control of chiller plants. The Nall name has always been synonymous with quality and serviceability and that has been carried forward into this new venture.
Custom Marine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Equipment
Where most Marine Air Conditioning manufacturers will only build you a unit from their standard product line, NME can design and build equipment that will work for your particular application. We can also modify existing equipment per your needs. With over 50 years in this business, both from the service, installation and manufacturing side, NME can provide you with the best custom equipment available. Utilizing 3D SolidWorks software we can design units and verify acceptability and viability before the first piece of metal is cut.
Custom Fresh Air Makeup Units
NME can build Fresh Air Makeup Units (FAMU's) for new build application or to replace an existing unit of any size. The "stock" units provided by the existing marine HVAC manufacturers are woefully inadequate. They will definitely not provide properly dehumidified air to the vessel. If anything, they will make the humidity problem worse. We are one of the few company's that understands the complexities of marine fresh air makeup systems and are therefore uniquely qualified to build these air handlers. We also provide the control packages from basic up to PLC/Touchscreen level sophistication and provide you a turnkey system.
Custom HVAC & Refrigeration Control Panels
NME can design and build any marine electrical control panel you may need. HVAC systems, FAMU systems, Refrigeration or Engine room ventilation systems. We can start at the design level or build a panel that will replace an existing panel. We will also provide a high level of documentation that will allow the panel to be serviced for many years to come. We can also refurbish an existing panel. One of our specialties is the implementation of Variable Frequency Drives for air conditioning & refrigeration compressors and head pressure controlled systems for seawater pumps to prevent erosion in seawater condensers. We have been using VFD's since the late 80's when we introduced VFD's to the Marine HVAC industry
PLC & Touchscreen Control Systems, New & Replacement
NME has available PLC and Touchscreen control systems to replace existing systems (Aqua Air and Dometic) and can provide custom designs for new systems or as refits. We have been using PLC systems since the late 90's and know more about them than anyone in the business.
New Build & Refit Consulting
NME can evaluate system designs, new or existing, to verify that you are getting a HVAC or refrigeration system that will service your requirements.
Existing System Evaluations
NME can evaluate an existing system and give you a full report on the viability of the system and its fitness for use. This can be used if there is ever any discussion about whether or not the correct equipment has been supplied and correctly installed.
System Documentation
NME can provide "as built" documentation for existing systems including, but not limited to, wiring schematics, refrigerant piping schematics, water piping schematics, 3D CAD drawings, parts listings, operating instructions, etc. Many of the marine HVAC manufacturers are not producing any documentation whatsoever which is incredibly critical as the equipment grows older and requires service.
